Age Old Past
Today I think about the past
Of ancient ones of old
The legends that mankind has left
And stories that should be told.
An age old scholar waved his wand
Characteristic to his mood
With a nostalgia yearning for the past
To live it if he could.
A philosopher lives from day to day
His world is filled with sadness
But maturing minds dwell within
With a desire for a world of gladness.
The gleanings of a glorious past
With grandeur shining bright
Delusions of memory closing in
Prophetic of age old sight . . .

Time Beyond
Beyond is hope for time that's past
The working of mankind
To each and everyone of us
The soul that's hard to find...
A kindred spirit that has left
A world not made with hands
Is now in another world
With the angel's bands...
There is a glow that shines at night
Sometime when we're asleep
And then when realization comes
It's fathoms are too deep...
The realms that lie beyond the blue
With hope of timeless ages
And when our brief stay here has ended
We will enter life's other pages...

My Beautiful Day
Today as I was lost in thought
The road lay ahead on my mind
The sun was opening up its arms
To a day that was one of a kind.
The beauty that was reflected down
From a sky of azure blue
A touch of love was in the air
That's meant for me and you.
The cool clean breeze I could feel
Softly whispering in my ear
There is love today in the air
That reaches everywhere.
From east to west the sun will shine
From its perch in the sky
And listen to our thoughts of old
And smile as time goes by.
