My name is Mary Shelley. I am a native of Rock Hill, SC. I have been interested in writing most of my life. I wrote my first poem, The Stranger, when I was 15 years old. It is included with the other poems that I have written and published with the International Library of Poetry.

I've recently had my first book, The Ghost of White Oaks, published by Trafford Publishing. It is a story of fiction about a grand old mansion located in Liberty Hill, near Camden, South Carolina. The story is about the nine days General Sherman's Army passed through the village and about the four Union officers who made their headquarters in the White Oaks Mansion.

I am currently working on my second book. A romance-intrigue that takes place in Santee, South Carolina. I plan to have it ready for publication this fall.

Writing is rewarding for me. I have been told that I have a creative mind, and my imagination helps me create the people and places that I write about. I want to write it down so that future generations can read about the things that I have written.
